Every record in ARCHIVE-9 carries a verdict: a single adjective — MAGNIFICENT, FORMIDABLE, RESPLENDENT, and so on. It is computed deterministically from the record itself, which means the same tool always receives the same verdict, on every visit, forever. It cannot be purchased, influenced, appealed, or improved by flattery. Several have tried the flattery.
The Director does not issue numbers. Numbers invite comparison, and comparison invites complaints; the archive has patience for neither. Every word in his vocabulary of verdicts is a compliment, chosen carefully. The verdict is theater with a straight face: a fixed, screenshot-worthy word. It is not a review, not a ranking, and The Director's dossiers say so plainly: his verdicts are, in his own words, deterministic, permanent, and legally meaningless.
